The Takeaway:
QR codes (Quick Response codes) are simply specific matrix bar codes that can be read by “QR Readers” (via devices like your smart phone) to quickly show you information about something, someone or somewhere. Very cool!
How is this useful for small a business?
For one thing, you can create these codes and place them on your store fronts and link to a Google Place Page or perhaps a special discount product you’re offering? (It can give your customers a feeling of being involved in a virtual treasure hunt)

The above QR code that can be generated is only good for a year. Is there a QR generator that offers one that outputs eps and other files, does not expire, and maybe offers analytics? What is your recommendation for a reader? It is hard to compare them.
Above, I am talking about free generators…
Hi Meryl,
Thanks for your notes/questions…
So just curious about the expiration. Where did you find that out?
Didn’t find any that had analytics built in, but here’s a decent article on how to implement: https://www.qrstuff.com/blog/2011/05/01/using-google-analytics-with-qr-codes
As far as output as eps, try this one:

Yes, We know what you imply. Those qr codes are tremendous, nonetheless customers haven’t taken to them just yet. We utilize this best qr code generator to create them everyday. Making those codes direct to a mobile post is golden. Wish it would catch on.
hear ya… feel ya.
thanks for the comment.
